A Pessimist Day
A sunny day, a cloudy one to me,
Another bill to pay, all out of cash.
Another empty pot, that's all I see,
A meal that's nothing but a smudge of ash.
A winter's snow to freeze my hands and feet,
A filling with the pending sense of doom.
Another morning, cold, without any heat
Sometimes you wonder why so full of gloom?
A barking dog or two will ward off sleep
A gang of children play, another noise.
Another mountain, climbing awful steep,
whatever happened to the quiet toys?
A gossip tells her tales behind my back
Sometimes the feeling of a mirror crack't.
This is one of the poems I did for poetry class. This is part one of a two-part assignment. I will post "The Optimist Replys" tomorrow.
